INSIDE THE WORLD’S MOST LUXURIOUS HOTELS

We step inside some of the world’s most extraordinary hotels, revealing the artistry, service and sheer imagination that define true five-star living. Whether it’s a secluded barefoot luxury escape, decadent pampering in a former palace or life in the fast lane at a city hotel with a fleet of supercars, if you have the money, there really is no limit when it comes to opulence and grandeur.

In St Lucia, we go behind the scenes at Jade Mountain, a 600-acre beachfront estate. Alex and Nate are celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary with a sweet treat; a bean-to-bar chocolate making experience with the resort’s resident chocolatier, Daniel.

In Monaco, we get a rare look inside The Hotel Metropole during the Grand Prix, where a four-night stay can cost £200,000. We follow designer and socialite Isabell Kristensen as she checks into a suite for a glamorous photoshoot, while downstairs another guest relaxes with a 24-carat gold flake facial.

Back in London, we explore the swanky Lanesborough Hotel, which is a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, and home to 2000 pieces of Regency art. The bar has one of the most extensive collections of vintage spirits in the world, but the prices are not for the faint-hearted. They serve brandies and cognacs that survived the French Revolution which sell for up to £120,000 per bottle.

In Paris, we go inside a hotel which was the former palace of Prince Roland Bonaparte, the great grandnephew of Emperor Napoleon himself. Guests Rosalind and Graham are enjoying their anniversary meal overlooking the world-famous Eiffel Tower – a view, which at one time, was not to the late prince’s taste!
